The Academy is governed by a Board of Directors composed of people of academic stature holding a post-graduate degree or the equivalent in outstanding activity relevant
to the interests of the Academy. (The Directors are the only voting members of the Academy.)
The Academy is managed by its officers, who form the Executive Committee, and an
Executive Administrator who takes care of day-to-day business.

His consciousness research continues as a Professional Member of the International Association for Near Death Studies (IANDS), an active member of the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS), and the Foundation for Mind Being Research (FMBR).
