The Academy is governed by a Board of Directors composed of people of academic stature holding a post-graduate degree or the equivalent in outstanding activity relevant to the interests of the Academy. The Directors are the only voting members of the Academy.

Rev. Karen E. Herrick has shared her clinical expertise for
twenty-four years in her private practice by lecturing throughout the United States
on dysfunctional and addictive homes, dissociation, grief and loss. Karen was ordained
in 1995. Her ministry is to be actively involved in Spiritual Psychology specifically
in naming spiritual experiences. Her book You’re Not Finished Yet is available through

Stephen is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with degrees in General Studies and Psychology. Now retired, he had built a career working as a children's services social worker and public school system administrator for the State of Florida. Stephen also served 20 years in the U.S. Navy Reserve. During the Vietnam era, he spent his active tour of duty on a submarine out of Charleston, South Carolina. Within the last two decades, Stephan was introduced to paranormal research and the study of the survival of consciousness, and has pursued his interests in a variety of fringe sciences.
